WELCOME!
The purpose of life is... to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well

Since a very young age, I have had a passion for serving others. Whether singing show tunes for the elderly or collecting canned goods for my middle school's Thanksgiving food drive, I have remained dedicated to aiding those in need. As I matured, however, I discovered inequality surging throughout my community and the burden it placed on its victims. I knew it would take much more than simple acts of kindness to make a difference.
Although the Declaration of Independence claims that all men are created equal and are all endowed with "certain unalienable rights,” many struggle daily with "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Many Americans are separated by economic and social conditions that unfairly render them undeserving of a voice. For example, as an English education major, I have witnessed firsthand how easily unfavorable conditions can prevent children from receiving something as foundational as an adequate education.
My experiences in public school systems and surrounding communities have propelled me to advocate for those students whose educational rights are ignored simply because of the circumstances of their birth. I hope to one day utilize my formal education, leadership abilities, and communication skills as a lawyer to defend those who have been silenced.
